So in the Neo-liberal, Consumerist culture, it is easy to be Postfeminist, just like Lahiri who doesn’t need feminism, because she can exercise her right to buy bearclaws, without thinking about it. And it has been Kaling’s effort to make this Lahiri realise the reality around her, to become the kind of feminist that she was always meant to be.
